Summer is the best season to spend time outdoors. But you don’t want to have to spend time in the weeds or muddy grass. You deserve to be able to relax on your deck, patio, or path in comfort. Luckily, there are plenty of outdoor flooring options to make this summer better than the last.

    Concrete

Poured concrete is a quick, easy, and affordable option to create an outdoor flooring. Concrete is pretty affordable and hardy for average outdoor walkways, too. You could even customize your concrete slabs with patterns to make them more unique. But concrete is not the easiest to maintain. Concrete slabs can buckle and crack, too. Concrete can be super cold to walk on and is prone to mold and mildew if not cured and sealed correctly. Regardless of its issues, though, concrete is still a cost-effective, durable, and resistant material to use for your outdoor flooring.

    Pavers

Pavers are an aesthetically pleasing flooring option for any outdoor area. They can come in different materials, like brick, stone, and concrete. They are relatively cost-effective and durable, but they can become difficult to repair or replace depending on the type of paver. Stone pavers can be individually replaced, but brick and concrete cannot, for example. Pavers are a great way to provide an appealing, relatively easy-to-install, slip-resistant, stain-resistant, and durable outdoor flooring. But again, they have their drawbacks like weeds and unevenness.

    Outdoor Carpet

Outdoor carpet is a great option for enclosed patios and lanais. While concrete and pavers are great ways of providing outdoor flooring for ground that’s going to be exposed to the elements, they are not that good for these outdoor/indoor environments. The type of environment that is technically outdoors, but acts more as a transition area between the outdoors and indoors. That’s why outdoor carpet is perfect for those spaces. Outdoor carpet is very easy to maintain such as when pollen coats everything or after a storm. You can simply spray off any dirt, dust, and debris and vacuum it up.
